Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the State capital would be shifted to Visakhapatnam.
Global Investors Summit is scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam in March 2023.
His statement assumes significance as multiple petitions on the capital issue pending in the Supreme Court.
The State had moved the top court after the High Court rejected thethree-capital plan of the Jagan regime.
The HC had also directed that Amaravati be developed as the State capital, as proposed by the former Chandrababu Naidu government.
Jagan had proposed to make Amaravati as the legislative capital, Visakhpatnam as the executive capital, and Kurnool as the judicial capital of the state.
