Credit flow to Micro, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) has seen a significant rise, assisted in part by the introduction of the Emergency Credit Linked Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS), according to Economic Survey.
The NPA rate in banks for MSME borrowers who availed of ECLGS was lower than the category that did not avail it.
As per the Survey, the textile sector, employing 4.5 crore directly, faced challenges in 2022-2023 as exports moderated compared with 2021-2022.
However, exports during the first six months rose 9.5% over the pre-pandemic level of 2019-2020.
